John began his musical journey at a young age. His recording career began during the late 70's, producing and album and 2 singles for Elton John's Rocket records. Since then he has worked with United Artists, Red Bus, Bellaphon (Germany) and Carrere (France and Italy). His greatest success came with Atlantic Records New York in the 90's, where his Big Big Sun album sold a credible 50,000 copies. Whilst Stateside, he also worked with members of Supertramp, The Gary Moore Band, The Pretenders and Don Henly.
The Magic Box album was recorded in Los Angeles before he returned back to England to live, and where he has recently completed his latest album The Man That I've Become. This album was co-produced with Robin Bolt, who was also his partner in Big Big Sun.
John has recently co-written an EP with Robin and Marillion's Pete Trewavas which will be released in the autumn.
